Hello, Emily here, sorry for being awol from the blog momentarily. I went on a spontaneous trip to Birmingham for a few nights to combat being alone in Falmouth. Thank you for your crazy response to my last interview episode, I can't promise this one is quite as juicy but I hope you enjoy what Lucy had to say and I'll be back with another blog post soon!

A few weeks ago I had my best friend Lucy come and stay with me in Falmouth. We ate lots of good food, drank lots of coffee and even attempted the 13 mile coastal walk - but that didn't last very long thanks to the Cornish rain...

Seeing as I had her with me I thought I'd ask her a few questions for my blog.

The Interview:

What is something you did as a child that you wish you did more of now?

🧡 Not spend so much time on my phone.

What's been your favourite age so far?

🧡 15/16 was a good one, a lot of firsts for me.

What age do you feel right now and why?

🧡 I definitely don't feel 20, thats way too old... my quarter-life crisis is coming early.

What was your first job?

🧡 I worked in a semi-fraudulant book re-selling 'company' in this old couple's house... it involved making second-hand books look better and selling them as new. The man was sufficiently creepy and safe to say I lasted a solid two weeks I think.

Why did you choose your university course, French and History of Art?

🧡 I'd come this far with French I figured it made sense to see it through as well as wanting the opportunity to live abroad for a year. For History of Art, I wanted something to go with French and it was a bold move because I knew no-one who did it/ what it involved exactly... but I was intrigued and I'm so glad I did as it's my favourite part of my course and I've made some great friends through it.

What's one thing you wish you knew how to do?

🧡 Probably play an instrument (more successfully than my grade 2 in flute).

What are you most proud of?

🧡 I like to think that when I set my mind on something I don't give up easily.

When have you felt the lowest in life?

🧡 Various points in my teenage years but lets be real that's all hormones and confusion for everyone.

When have you felt the happiest in life?

🧡 When travelling with friends/family- Washington, Berlin and Paris have been some definite favourites.

What's the most romantic thing you've done/received in your life?

🧡 In terms of material things, a certain very personal piece of jewellery. For other things, it's the little things that really stay with me and there's too many of them to write here.

Biggest Regret?

🧡 Big cliché but I don't tend to have regrets; you can learn from everything or in the very least have a funny story.

If you had a chance to do-over in life what would you do differently?

🧡 Same as last question, everything happens for a reason.

What's one thing you look forward to in the future?

🧡 I'm excited for next year and finally getting a hang of the whole french thing. Anything beyond that is one big question mark, both terrifying and exciting.

Thanks for reading, like I said, I'll be back with another blog post soon. As always, if you have any suggestions for posts feel free to message me as I love hearing your suggestions. In the next few weeks I'll be asking my Dad and Nan some questions and I'll also be writing some posts suggested by you guys!

All my love,

Emily x
